One of the most difficult employees to retain today, as well as the most valued, is the Nurse. Visiting Nurse Service of New York asked BackLot to help them with this challenge, utilizing a marketing budget of less than one nurse's annual salary.

Solution:
Recognize nurses' wonderful accomplishments through an awards competition and celebratory event. Rally teams to nominate their peers. Invite winner and their colleagues to an exclusive cocktail party with a renowned industry keynote speaker and VNS senior executives. Award winner with customized certificate and gifts.

Summary:
This program began as a test with a general nursing event. It is now held quarterly, distinguishing the achievements of specific healthcare groups: therapists, social workers, administrators and nurses. It has become so popular that we are currently searching for a larger event venue. Despite National trends to the contrary, VNSNY employee retention is at an all time high.
